Recently, possibly following the recent server update, random Artist and Album posters have changed to one of two generic ones. In my case, either the cover of the Grease Soundtrack album or “The Message, The Roots of Rap” which Plex tends to use as a generic. With the number of albums and artists in there, it would take hours to put them all back. They were all fine up to today.
The other thing this latest bum server update did was apparently changed the numbering of tracks. Every album starts with song 0 now instead of 1. I guess TESTING an “update” BEFORE releasing is a long forgotten thing of the past.
Yea, I just backdated and reinstalled the previous Server update and the numbering was corrected More Millennial/Genz Tech Bro brilliance
When you look at a various artist album in MP3tag do you have all of the track numbers correct? I’m on 1.43.1.10492 and all of my various artists albums start with a “1”.
Also you can set the album cover image in MP3tag as well. Setting the cover in each file assures how it will look.
Edit: Here’s a new twist. I just noticed they’re numbered correctly in the Windows Plex app, but on Roku they start with track 0. So the issue appears to be in the Roku app
Yes, they’re numbered correctly in the tags. The latest Server update screwed it up. When I went back to the previous, they are fine now, so it was the update. Do you know how long it would take me to go in and change all the cover art again??? And it’s not just the cover art, but the artist posters as well that are no screwed up. They were all fine before. Like I have nothing better to do but spend hours correcting them again because a bunch of lazy entitled Coding camp rejects can’t spend the time and care to test before release
