This is the Plex instructions I used (https://support.plex.tv/articles/208050647-getting-started/) but I can’t find the link to the Raspberry Pi Embedded image anymore.
The version I have is PlexMediaPlayer-2.46.0.1020-cb79b3e2.RPi2-arm.img. You can use the link to download a copy from my Dropbox if you want.
Thanks for the download! Gonna try it soon
Let me know how you get on
Thanks.
I found the latest downloads in the nightlies.
I have added my experience in this thread Plex Embedded
Took the version linked by the topic by @MuSic and IT WORKS on my Rpi2B!
I did have some issues with my screen, but that is not Plex related.
So far:
- Looks like Rasplex
- Feels like Rasplex
- Can be used in the cast-to functionality
- Interface and responsiveness is SLOW but then again a Pi2B isn’t fast either
- Even after enabling SSH in the options menu I cannot seem to get in (connection refused)
[update] - After reboot SSH works
Next up: using different DAC’s and screens
[update] Hifiberry DAC works!
in /boot/config.txt
Removed: dtparam=audio=on
Added: dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
I’ve installed the latest nightly of embedded plex on my Pi3B+ and it works well. I’m a compete noob who doesn’t understand cli interfaces but managed to ssh in and get WiFi working.
