I was able to connect to plex and stream videos (even 1080p ones) with this wireless USB adapter

at command-line I typed ā€œwicd-cursesā€ and was able to connect to the SSID of choice and input the wireless password. I also set it to auto connect.

i ve been using normaly xbmc on my pi now i installed plex but i dont get a network connection (via Lan) anyone a idea? anything i have to do?

I have a problem with wicd-curses in the latest Rasplex release;

When I change the authentication setting for my WiFi to "WPA1/2 Passphrase", it doesn't stick/save the setting. It stays at WPA1/2 Hex.

Anyone else seeing this?

Also, I have a problem with my Apple USB keyboard, it sends multiple button presses, making it impossible to control Rasplex properly.



It works fine in Raspbmc, so the keyboard is functioning.



I canā€™t use the Plex iOS app to control Rasplex either, it hangs if I try to navigate.



So pretty much stuck trying to navigate Plex on the Pi right now :slight_smile:

I didn't need to install drivers for the wifi Usb to be detected.

Can't wait for hdmi cec to be implemented, but for the time being I am using this as the remote. Works great out the box

I've been watching movies and shows all morning and rasplex is awesome. The home menu is a tad laggy but very very usable.

Did you connected it via usb hub or directly to the pi? i find it with lsusb but dont see any wireless networkā€¦ :confused:

the mce remote receiver and the wireless usb are connected directly to the pi.

Just tested this guy out and here is what i have found,



1080p choppy 720p seems ok

gui usable but slow

channels do not work



other than that, I cant believe how far this has come along in a very short time. I wish I knew half the things you guys know lol



I just donated 25 beers to ya to help out with anymore development, I cant wait until this is finished and runs similar to raspbmc! I will donate more on my next check!

Iā€™ve uploaded some new skin changes, this gives the option to disable fanart and recently added/on deck. Itā€™s done in a slightly different way than before and I find it actually works better for me, Iā€™d be interested to see if this is the case for people with big libraries.
