Thanks for the reply. I have the same problem with rc20 (rasplex/rpi freezes). I am not able to ftp the RPi, and when I put the SD card in my win-PC I don't see the folder 'storage'. I don't know how to get hold of the log-file.

If you want to make sure it's a CEC issue, put your SD in a SDcard reader and edit config.txt.
add hdmi_ignore_cec=1 at the end of file & reboot.
This is very important. 0.1.20 has major GUI improvements, but the playback issue is what is holding it back.
We need to know if lots are having this issue, or just I am.

Hi Dale & Co
I have downloaded and installed 0.1.20 this evening. I would say that parts of the GUI seem more responsive not massively but defiantly an improvement over 0.1.19. The on deck part is still quite slow and unresponsive for me.
In terms of playback, so far I have watch 1 SD TV show with no issues and I am currently halfway though a 10Gb HD film, again with no issues. Also I don't seem to be getting stuttering/freezing when the on screen display controls are up.
If you need anything in particular testing let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Downloading 0.1.20 now. I'll update this post letting you know how well it works.
Results:
This is the slowest UI for me, everything was extremely laggy. I selected American dad to play and it took a while to play. Then a small box appeared in the top left that started to play the episode then it went full screen and was fine. None of my movies would play. They said error with playback.
I'm using the latest plexpass PMS 0.15 i believe it is. I have an 8GB class 10 sd card.
That was on first boot. I've now attempted to shut it down. The pi has been running for about 5 minutes now and the on deck finally showed up although it isn't populated. It took a good 40 seconds to shut down. It's rebooting now and i'll test it all again and see if anything is different.
Second boot is much faster, backgrounds are loading for applications/search/preferences etc On Deck loaded but it's fairly laggy. TV shows work fine. Still a pretty big delay between selecting the video and waiting for it to begin. Also when exiting the video and returning to the menu it was slow.
Some TV shows didn't play. I'd select "Play from beginning" and they'd never load no matter how long i left it for. Movies did the same with some movies not even starting after selecting them and others saying playback error
From the packets dump above, would seem to be a GDM packet issue (server discovery protocol).
This protocol uses multicast. As everyone doesn't have the issue, i'd think you might wanna have a look at your router /switches just in case they would filter multicast packets.
If you want to make sure it's a CEC issue, put your SD in a SDcard reader and edit config.txt.
add hdmi_ignore_cec=1 at the end of file & reboot.
This will disable CEC.
hdmi_ignore_cec=1 does not help. SSH is new to me, but I downloaded some software. But it does not help me much, because the RPi drops out of the network when it freezes.
When I start the RPi I can see on the router that it connects (as 'openelec') and gets an IP-address. But after around 20 seconds it is no longer connected to the router.
I also tried to connect the RPi-hdmi to the TV (not the receiver), but it is the same problem. Restarted the router; same problem.
The hardware is the same as I get to work on a raspbmc-installation (including the SD-card)
I guess I'm a bit stuck. Anyway, thanks for the help.
