Hi, my PMS on Raspberry PI3v B is not reachabìle. I don’t know what happened recently, I had just in time to install the new version, because the previous one did not work. This time it worked for a while, today I tried again and I no longer reach the server from any app locally.
I reply to my own email saying that I can reach my PMS on raspberry from any Android and Windows device in LAN , but can not from my Smart TV and BD player, both Samsung… I point out that another server on windows machine is reachable from these two devices.
I am really amazed how supportive this forum is … it is yet another theread that I open and I am not even answered
I have extremely limited knowledge and am completely new to Linux and Raspberry Pi. Having said that, it sounds like the issues you are having lies within the Samsung devices themselves. My suggestion would be to dive into those devices and their settings, and see if you can clear the cache (if possible) and reinstall.
It’s not a Samsung issue. Just reinstalled the smart hub, it still doesn’t work. instead it works perfectly with windows pcs as a server. It’s a Plex anomaly… it would be appropriate to fix plex versions for smart-tv, because otherwise the app completely loses its purpose.
what version is the windows server?
how old are the samsung devices? samsung has not updated many of their older devices to support never encryption methods that plex now requires due to the vulnerabilities in the older methods. If the windows PMS is still old it may explain why it still connects (if it is old it is also a security risk)
You Plex Media Server.log also shows lots of periodic network errors, check those out and try and work out why it seems like your pi stops talking to the network for periods of time.

It’ s a Win10 Home up to date, installed to other version too of this OS it works in LAN and from remote.
My Samsung SmartTV has the last update installed, player version is the 5.1.0. Maybe an Internet failure connection was due to my test, but I can assure you that I have never had a problem reaching the server from other clients other than the one installed in the SmartTV.
Dear Bob, but have you ever succeeded in this?
