I am not tech savvy so please bear with me.
I have been a Plex Media Server user for a while, running the server from my Windows 11 machine. I also have a Plex Pass. Primarily I use Samsung TV smart hub (2012 Tv) to access Pleas as well as two low end streaming devices. About a week ago the Samsung app advised that that my sever is not accessible. I went through some basic process to rectify the issue.:
- Cold restart the TV
- Restart the Router
- restart the computer
- Turn off my VPN and firewall
Then i tried to access the server via my other streaming devises, which are able to access the server and the local media, but claim that direct access not available hence the playback quality is very low.
I spent some time on the forum, and I tried to activate remote access by checking my router for Upnp and so forth. But I got lost trying to check port forwarding. Remort access is not still available. Incidentally all of my devises are on the same LAN connected via WiFi.
My concerns is that i did not make any changes to any of the devices or software before I ran into this issue. After a week, I am getting quite frustrated can you please offer some guidance to overcome this issue.
