Raspex working but getting rainbow box in corner

Hi,

I’ve just noticed recently that there’s a rainbow coloured square showing up in the top right corner of the screen every few seconds. Everything is working correctly and it’s definitely a recent thing. I’ve read somewhere that it’s something to do with cheap power supplies but the power supply is the one sold one the pi hut and I would have thought that that would have always been the case.

The only thing I think I’ve changed recently is the audio settings. I’d never configured it to make use of dts or 5.1 audio before.

It has to do with insufficient power supplied to the Pi. I experienced the same problem when using a USB extension cable. If you’re using a wall wart with nothing in between, I’d look into a new power supply.

I just had the same thing this week, just pulled the power from the RP3 and put it back in. After restart and until now, all OK again. Mine has a foundation 2.5A supply but connected via an extension “hub” (sorry don’t know the English word :slight_smile: )
