Have you tried demuxing the subs, converting to .srt and then remuxing back to the .mkv?Thanks for the info. Hopefully someone has a solution for this outside of using external subs.

I really think/hope things like this shouldn't be necessary. I have long ago stopped tinkering with converting/muxing files and would like to be able to enjoy the releases the way they are. Plus, I've got some several hundred anime episodes with styled subtitles, so it's not really a task I want to tackle...
Add hdmi_force_edid_audio=1 to the bottom of your config.txt and reboot, then try the tvservice -a again.

This solved my issues with audio. Have 5.1 DD Sonos Playbar connected to the TV via tosslink, had stutter and audio glitches from time to time.
just setting up 0.6.0 and I cant save my manual ip address setup. on clicking the save button it just returns to DHCP.
Any ideas?

There is still one issue I do have which I thought would have been fixed in this release ow it's on the newer audio engine. When playing music, when each track ends and the next one starts, my amp clicks as it locks onto the file - by the time it has sorted itself out then it has missed the opening second or two of the track. I had read other comments about this here saying that the new audio engine would cure this - but it's still happening. Doesn't matter if the audio is WAV, FLAC or MP3.
I have a Plex client in my LGTV. It's very basic but it handles the audio perfectly. It doesn't send any kind of audio format update signal between tracks, so no clicking amp and no missing start of tracks.
Is this something that can be sorted in an upcoming release?

I’ve just replaced all 3 PSU’s with the official Pi PSU’s bought from RS Components. I did clean installs on each RPi2, and they worked just like the others I had from modmypi did at first.
Just got back tonight, went to press play and the transcoding message came up again when attempting to play local media :-/
When pressing stop as soon as it says it’s going to be transcoded, an error message pops up saying something about directory not being found, check that drive is mounted.
I was convinced it was the PSU’s after dlanors explanation, but now I’m beginning to think it must be something else.
I’ve also just noticed that when I go into System Settings -> Connections it is completely empty, there is nothing displayed on the right hand side.
I’ll pop the log on in a bit as just had a long drive.

The weird thing is I always tick the box to wait for network right after setup has completed, I always setup a manual IP for each RPi2 during setup, and set the server IP manually as well. Just checked both RPi2 that are on 24/7 and both the same. Box ticked to wait for network, Connections area completely blank.
EDiT:
I just unticked wait for network and rebooted one of the RPi2's, still nothing showing in the Connections area. I also noticed after the reboot that under Preferences -> System -> Advanced the logging boxes had been unchecked. They were definitely checked before the reboot. Still transcoding local media.
I then unticked "Automatic Login", signed out, and signed back in using a Pin this time instead of manually inputting my username/pass. Reticked the network/debug logging boxes. Reticked wait for network and rebooted.
After the reboot the manual network settings are now displaying on the right hand side under System Settings -> Connections, and they are the correct ones I set at setup. The logging boxes have remained ticked, and local media is playing directly again.
Definitely seems buggy though.

Just rebooted again to see if the settings stick. RPi2 shutdown, then all of a sudden it switched the TV off, it's never done that before. I switched the TV back on, Rasplex continued to boot up, and a message came up on the screen with "Crash Report Submitted - Please reference crash ID: 76448 if you file a bug report at tiny.cc/rasplex-bugs."
Guess my suspicions were confirmed! Lol. Now I feel like I've wasted £20+ on more PSU's unnecessarily.
Don't know if this is a bug, or me. But it also happened with the previous release.
If I go to the Watch Later section I can see a load of YouTube vids I've added to the section. It will play the first on the list but I can't navigate around the pane and pick a video I want. It will play them all sequentially but if I pick one, the first one on the list plays.

I have flashed three times and every time it is unable to login to Plex. I have tried PIN and manual methods. I have an IP on my network, I can see the shares but it seems to have an issue talking to Plex.
EDIT: With the overwhelming suggestions :rolleyes: I just rolled back to 5 and I am able to see my videos again... Thanks much..
Hello,I have a new issue with 0.6.0 on a RPi2, and since I see noone talking about it, I believe there's something I'm missing ;).Whatever I put in screen saver settings, my Rasplex goes black after 5 minutes of idle. And if I want to use it again, I have to unplug/replug the RPi2. On the previous version, I did disabled the screen saver and the RPi2 was on 24/24 with no problem.Is there something to change in OpenElec or somewhere to keep it live 24/24 ?Thanks a lot for your help.

Not sure if this has been reported but if plex doesn't change the frame rate, then my audio is in sync on everything but I get frame rate issues. They're hard to describe but I get moments of the "soap opera" effect that you get from image processing like true motion and the like on TVs. If I tell plex to change the frame rate (i.e. 24) then I get audio sync issues with AAC 5.1 files. I didn't have this issue with 0.5.1 on RPi2
Are there any plans to reinstate the vpn add on in future builds or to make it possible to install add-ons? I think Openelec 5 has removed openvpn and so rasplex 0.6.x cannot now use openvpn to watch, for instance the BBC.

Rasplex is built on OpenELEC, so it isn't likely to come back unless OE adds it back.
Just noticed something; I tend to change the genre that is automatically filled my the plex scanners to one I create manually. However, I have noticed that rasplex is displaying the original genres from moviedatabase etc rather than my own in the preview info area. When you click to select the movie the information displayed is the correct genre that I have manually changed to. So, my question is how to i get rasplex to update the preview movie info metadata?

I had this issue when i had limited HDMI cables, if i booted up the RPI2 before plugging in the HDMI cable it would start up with small resolution but i have since bought another HDMI cable that is always connected to the RPI2 and no longer have this issue. Not sure if your doing the same thing so this may not be helpful.
