Anyone having problem with Shoutcast streaming music after upgrading ? doesn’t work anymore.

Can confirm this is fixed in next release.

Regards

I have just done a fresh install of 0.7.1, but the boot screen and the update screen both show 0.7.0

You’ve selected the wrong image in GetRasplex, make sure you are using the latest version of GetRasplex, see here https://github.com/RasPlex/RasPlex/wiki/Install-Rasplex-using-GetRasPlex-for-OSX-or-Windows-GUI

It would appear to be a combination of a knackered SD-card and the Get Rasplex software not actually writing anything. The progress bar goes up to 100% and the reader flashes throughout, but there are no changes to the card. I am using GetRasplex-win7-32.1.0.1 and RasPlex-RPi2.RP-0.7.1.img

Turns out it was due to two, count them TWO, dodgy SD-card readers. Thanks for the fast response.

Doe anyone else have problems fast forwarding and rewinding ?

It seems on almost all my films once i hit 8x in fast forward or rewind the video locks up ?

Is this due to the 100mbs LAN on the pi ?

on other platforms i dont have this problem

Works up to 32x OK for me, running on RPi2.

Thanks Ned,

That’s odd then that my picture is just freezing on anything faster than 4x

Are your files quite high bitrate ? Most of mine are around 7- 8 GB per film.

Between 4 and 12.

And those 12gb files fast forward with the picture moving still ?

If so, do you have any suggestions as to why mine do not ?

I am running PMS on freenas which has got a quad core xeon cpu and the pi is direct playing everything anyway.

The pi is hardwired too

thanks

Just tried pulling the SD card and doing a fresh install on the laptop.

Also overclocked the Pi this time to the recommended overclock settings.

Still have exactly the same problem.

2x and 4x work perfectly.

As soon as i get to 8x it just crashes.

I tried it on loads of different stuff and it is even doing it on some very low bitrate avi files (about 350mb)

Any ideas any1 ?

Thanks

First – thank you for your continued excellent work on this software.

I just want to confirm – does 7.1 audio (8 channel audio) for FLAC and TrueHD no get decoded properly to 8-channel LPCM? It 7.1 audio seems to be working properly – and my surround rears are working. But I just wanted to confirm. Thank you!

OK so a little update on

8x FF or RW not working

.
I spent literally the whole day today and quite a few hours last night trying to figure this out.

I read here http://www.midwesternmac.com/blogs/jeff-geerling/getting-gigabit-networking that using the TU3-ETG i could increase the pi2 LAN speed from 68mb/s to 210mbs

  1. Ordered a TRENDnet TU3-ETG and tried that (still not working)

  2. Tried running PMS on my windows laptop to rule out my freenas server as the problem. (still not working)

  3. Tried FF and RW on all other plex clients in the house which all seem to manage fine including the samsung tv which is also only a 100mb LAN

  4. Tried switching back to my old TV to rule out anything weird that could be happening with CEC on the new TV. (still not working)

  5. Wiped the SD card and installed Kodi with plexbmc plugin which also managed to FF and RW all the way up to 32x without problems.

.
So now I am thinking it has got to be rasplex. No doubt about it.
.
.
6. Wiped the SD card and rolled back to version 0.6.0 of Rasplex

(FF and RW working better than all other clients in the house).

.
.
7. Wiped SD card and tried version 0.7.0 (back to not working)
.
8. Tried disabling “Sync playback to display in settings” ( 8x and 16x and 32x working on low bitrate files but still doesn’t seem right (not smooth like it was on 0.6.0)
.
9. Played some higher bitrate files (12gb)(17gb) etc and (working on 8x but a bit laggy. get to 16x and its very jumpy then 32x and it keeps stopping and eventually just crashes)

.
.
So after this i installed 0.7.1 again and found it was exactly the same as 0.7.0. (8x and faster not working at all when “Sync playback to display” is ticked in settings and when it is unticked 8x and faster work just about but are very jumpy / laggy and will eventually just crash)
.
.

BACK TO 0.6.0

Everything working Hunky Dory

2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, and 32x FF and RW work absolutely perfectly whether “Sync playback to display” is ticked or not.

So as you can imagine I am now sticking with 0.6.0

I am assuming some of the new feature / bug fixes inbetween version 0.6.0 and 0.7.0 broke something.

Hopefully someone cleverer than me can figure out why this is and maybe get a fix done for the next release.

What will happen with this project with the new Plex Media Player release?

Continue, Rasplex is a far superior Plex client.

Regards

Good! Will you be able to hack new PMS features (when they come out in the future) into PHT for Rasplex? Things like for example the recent premium music stuff, which required a new PHT release, or the Plex Home stuff which also required a new PHT release.

Thank you for your hard work.
