Hi,

I just noticed that the force transcode feature does not work in 0.7.1

Will it be fixed in v2?

The support for Music+ sections and ‘Plex Home’ usage is already included in RasPlex (RasPlex 0.7.1 corresponds to PHT 1.4.1), and no doubt any future features of the PMS server will also be supported by future RasPlex releases.The current candidate for the next RasPlex release even has features not yet implemented in any official PHT release, such as a preference menu option to choose whether ‘Shared Content’ library sections from other servers should be displayed in the traditional ‘Shared Content’ submenu or in the main menu just like the library sections of the PMS server to which the RasPlex client is logged in.

I think you misunderstood me. I know the two features I mentioned are already in Rasplex – I mentioned them as two recent examples of changes to PMS that required changes to PHT. Particularly having Plex Home turned on in PMS would make an older PHT client not even work. I was just examining my options for the continued life of PHT (and was glad to find at least one here with Rasplex – I may just have to buy a Pi2 now).

Very cool on having Shared Content in the main menu – any required changes to skins to make that work, that I would need to include in my skin? (I tried to include all the Rasplex stuff from the default skin that I could find in Aeon Nox, but haven’t been able to test).

Will Rasplex v2 be a stable version? Will you update the github?

No ETA, a lot of work to do, we’re hoping to release 0.7.2 shortly.

@NedtheNerd I have updated my Rasberry Pi 2 B to 0.7.1. When you press left arrow on main menu you have options like reboot, shutdown and switch user. Only admin of Home Plex has option to reboot and shutdown, all managed users have switch user only. Is this intended? PHT on Windows works for them.

I have found this release to be extremely unstable, hardlocking quite often. Anyone else experiencing this? It happened occasionally with 0.7.0 but, it was very rare (once a month), now it happens several times a day.

Why not upgrade to 1.0.0, set the update channel to pre-release and it will auto-update.
