First of all, let me say that I LOVE RASPLEX, I truly do. This is a truly awesome piece of software and I can't get enough of it.
I have a feature request and I apologize if it was already requested. It would be great if you could disable the transition animation of the UI for a smoother experience. I assume this will help with the somewhat not stellar performance of navigation the UI.
What would be great is a faster UI
or at least the home screen.
basically if I do a fresh install I have a large library and they all get added to "recently added"
so if you scroll onto any of my folders aka TV shows it shows "recently added" on the home screen and it reads ever newly added file.
This is ridiculous, because it freezes while this is happening,
is there any way to cap the amount of newly added files in to recently added?
That would be great.
I would love to have plex option on raspberry PI, but it is simply to slow for me, as it is running today.
The newest version of XBMC on a raspberry PI has blown me away, with the speed it comes out with, but is not and option for me, as I run PLEX on all my present equitments.
Is there any working on the RASPLEX project anymore and is there there any timeline for when we could hope for a decent version, similarly in the performance, as if running with the raspberry XBMC version?

Then the PlexBMC addon, with the PlexBMC-adapted 'Amber' skin should be a good fit for you. I've used such PlexBMC setups on several platforms using either 'Frodo' or 'Gotham' XBMC versions.
Thanks to that 'Amber' skin you can switch between normal XBMC mode and Plex mode, in which latter the program acts very much like a real Plex client. (Unlike how PlexBMC works in a standard XBMC skin.)
I haven't yet tried it with a Raspberry Pi version, since my brother has borrowed my RPi (with RasPlex), but I have every reason to believe that it will work fine with the XBMC version for RPi you mentioned.
Since rasplex is based on xbmc please add support for navi-x its the best solution i found for live tv streaming
It have alot of live tv streaming
And navi-x comunity are verry nice they will help you for sure with any problem in porting it
Please please please
Or just add a plugin system like in xbmc so people will do the rest and you dont need to worry about it
Please stop posting the exact same thing in multiple threads.

Rasplex install on USB greatly improves the speed of the interface!
Force fsck on boot. At times when full lockup ocurs, sdcard does not get cleanly unmounted. This has lead me to more freqeuent full lockups. The only remedy seems to be to take the sdcard out and do a fsck on it on another machine. Thats fine, doesnt lock up after, or does so very rarly. I cant seem to figure out how to fsck on the pi from ssh. Is there a way and or forcefsck on boot?.
since rasplex is based on xbmc please add option to instal xbmc addons/plugins and this will be the ultimate htpc :)
RasPlex is based on the official "Plex Home Theater" client from the Plex team.
It's simply an unofficial port of the PHT code to the Raspberry Pi platform.
So I don't think any major features will be added to it that are not also present in the PHT versions released by the Plex team.
Also, while it is true that PHT itself (like the older PMC client too) is based on code derived from the XBMC project, I doubt that it remains sufficiently compatible with normal XBMC builds to allow standard XBMC addons to work correctly. (That's one reason why we need Plex-specific 'Channels'.)
If you really need XBMC addons as well as Plex library access, you might prefer to use an XBMC setup with the PlexBMC addon and its Plex-adapted Amber skin. This makes XBMC work very similar to a real Plex client, but retains the ability to use XBMC addons, and also to switch between the Plex client mode and traditional XBMC mode.
I use that kind of PlexBMC setup on my hacked BoxeeBox (for which no PHT port is available).
Please note that as some folks have mentioned here, we can't really integrate features that are too far off from the upstream plexht or openelec projects.
I'm going to be locking this thread, so please follow the github guidelines for feature requests.
