Rasplex netboot: kernel module missing?

Hello,

I’m trying to configure rasplex to boot from NFS shares configured on NAS. I followed this guide

but when the raspberry boots, it hangs saying it cannot mount the configured NFS shares. I repeated the procedure with openelec (the configuration is quite the same) and it booted up with no problems. Lately, by replacing the kernel from openelec (blame me later for having done it) I managed to make it boot, even if at the very beginning an “installation broken” message will show for 60s (after that it boots normally. I had many tests (turning it off while, booting, playing movie, browsing library, ecc ecc) and no corruptions occurred. Actually, raspberry turns on and off with the TV (it is powered from the TV usb you should use for HD usb). I would like to make it with the native kernel, maybe something’s missing in the rasplex one?
Thank you!

That’s a very old write up and not supported by the Rasplex team.

Nothing is missing in the Rasplex kernel, 1.0.3 uses OpenELEC 6.0.2, which was the latest at the time of release.

Regards

I’m using kernel from OpenELEC 6.0.2 to run it. Using the kernel from rasplex 1.0.3 will lead to that error. All the rest is taken from rasplex 1.0.3, beside the kernel on the sdcard. It is not a blocking problem, using the “hack” I used, but definitely, there must be something different between the 2 kernels.

Kernel in 1.0.3 was 4.1.18 and latest RPi firmware at that time which may have been different to OpenELEC 6.0.2 official release.
