Extremely new to rasplex and have been a Plex users for years so thought I’d give the little bro a go…
Upon install got extremely nervous as thought i needed a USB keyboard, cheers guys for the onscreen keyboard or I would’ve fallen at the first hurdle.
But one thing that puzzled me, unless I’ve done something wrong… It didn’t pick up the local Plex server?
I had to login via my my plex account… Surely this is wrong?
Because that would mean my media has to be uploaded and downloaded via the web even tho its sat right next to it (Literally!)
Any tips to point it in the right direction of a local server?
Not using anything special for network settings, ethernet for the Pi, all the other devices on my network pick up the server with no problems, even the Plex app (iOS) can communicate with the Pi fine… Just it doesn’t see the server without myplex.
Any help for a n00b in this field will be greatly appreciated.

Status:
Everything should be fine if you are able to control RasPlex via the Plex iOS app. This requires discovery and communication between RasPlex and your PMS…
Maybe just try to reboot your RasPlex once (or unplug and re-plug your network connection)
