Im experiencing a weird issue. Went to use Rasplex on my main TV earlier and it was showing 'search' in the menu. I assumed this was a network issue, so first I checked my server was ok and that I could connect from my other plex clients, everything working.
Next i restarted the pi but it was the same when it booted. I pressed left direction key and noticed that it wanted me to sign in, so I did and things started to look better, all my libraries showed up and i could play stuff, however it had lost all my settings, locale stuff, overscan settings etc.
I reset all that stuff up and everything was back to normal.
Anyway, just switched back to rasplex after 45 mins since last using it and its done the same thing again?
Does anyone have any clues? (Im on version 5 on a RPi 1 model B.

My first guess would be SD card corruption affecting the settings.
This can happen due to power outages while in use, but can also happen without abnormal events if the SD card is low class/quality or if the PSU is too weak (Not all PSUs rated at 1Amp can really deliver it with proper voltage stability).
Just to say it looks like this was indeed SD card corruption as mentioned by dlanor. Re-flashed clean with latest version and is now working fine again.
