RasPlex "Sleep" display after idle

Hello!

I’ve got my RPi with Rasplex hooked up to a projector, the projector will turn itself off if it receives no signal for 15 minutes or so, unfortunately the only way of getting RasPlex to output no signal is to have it shutdown, which means I’ve got to toggle power to the RPi to turn it back on - i.e. can’t turn it back on with a Remote.

Is RasPlex able to go into some sort of “sleep” mode and cease outputting video via HDMI after some amount of time idling? Such that I can wake it with an RF remote via its USB dongle? I’ve not found anything in the settings or searching these forums, I’m inclined to believe it’s not quite possible!

Thanks for any help/insight,
Plast.

This has been raised on a number of occasions, there is no sleep mode with the RPi, hardware limitation. Have a look at the RemotePi Board from MSL Digital, you can program a remote button to power off the RPi gracefully and use the same button to turn it back on. The RemotePi Board is fully supported by Rasplex, nothing to install, just enable it in System Settings. A number of users with Plasma screens or projectors find it very handy.

Ah sounds brilliant, thanks I’ll look into it!
