I’m trying to rate multiple songs at once in Plex (or Plexamp) for tracks that are in my Tidal library. Incredibly, this doesn’t seem possible.
I even thought I had a workaround figured out - within Tidal, I have playlists consisting of all my higher-rated songs (this is a legacy that started in the 00’s with my song ratings in iTunes, which was amazingly carried over to Google Play Music as Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down. Once I knew I had to migrate from GPM, I intentionally created a number of playlists of all my “thumbs up songs”, even broken down by genre, to future-proof all the effort I’d put into rating songs over the past 20 years. Within Tidal, it isn’t perfect but it works - “Tracks” that are added to “My Collection” (or “hearted”) represent good songs I want to listen to.
Soooo, I thought I might be able to create a new library in Plex, called “High Rated Tidal Tracks”, and then just add all of those playlists over to that library. This workaround was thwarted by a perhaps even more annoying missing feature - it is apparently impossible to add Tidal playlists (even ones containing songs in your collection) to a Plex library. You can ONLY add 1 song at a time from Tidal to a Plex library as far as I can tell. This is just plain dumb.
Anyone have any double-workarounds for the above? At the end of the day all I want to do is convert my “thumbs up” (if we’re talking GPM) or “hearted” (if we’re talking Tidal" into “Starred” tracks in Tidal, without having to do it one track at at time.
