I may be moving from another home media package. I have over 1000 movies alot are not named properly. Do I have to follow exact naming conventions for Plex to be able to see them? I can re-name them over time however I cannot possibly rename them all before leaving the other package.

You can use apps like Filebot to rename thousands of files in short order.
things like 2x02 generally are OK but not something like “Season 2 - Episode X”
if you don’t care about things actually being put in seasons and such and the benefits a TV library does like On Deck then you can just put them all in an “other videos” library ( it won’t grab any online metadata)
No, there is a real issue going on. I installed 2 new servers and it scans the files (i see it in the scanner); when done… zero come up. I had the same problem via docker and regular servers. Something you guys did in the last few days is causing movies to be problematic and there are multiple posts.
It’s not you. I’m having the same issue with a docker local server, a remote docker server, and 2 bare metal servers and movies do not match up at all. TV works fine, but tons of the movies are missed and it matches up some of the wrong crap and years. Something has def happened.
