Last night I have installed this amazing program (plex media server) on my computer, but after many (like 20 or more installation) I still can not claime the media server.
I read through the troubleshooting pages and many forum notes but still can not find a solution…
please… someone… I really need help:'(
(I need to install it manually… but as I mentioned before I have done it many times)
I’m not sure but I don’t think you can use the # in the server name.
I tried to change it but still not working.
I am having a similar issue. Except I only have problem claiming when i Can actually get it to download or work for more than a day and not Ünable to Locate Server"yet again. This is very frustrating. Now when I try to delete and re-download Media Server it just links me to browser to log-in to my account.
Can you manually grab the PMS logs and zip the entire folder up and post it here for me to look at. https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/

I’m seeing errors in your log related to CURL error 7, which typically means that the TCP connection between 2 things isn’t working. Are you running a proxy or have some other non basic network setup?
I can not understand this.
For now on the server is going to be my notebook, so I don’t think that I need TCP conncection between my browser and my macbook:O:)
Or…
What and where should I check?
