Rebuild database completely on NAS

I am a PLEX newbie. Please forgive what may be simple questions.

I have set up the PMS on a Netgear ReadyNAS device. It runs on the internal LAN. As installed it worked and I could get data delivered. The media are all music files – albums and associated tracks. The initial organization and folder names did not meet PLEX recommendations so I have reorganized the media using non-plex file management tools so it is in various folders named according to the suggested guidelines – “Artist – AlbumName”.

Now I want to blow away the existing PLEX database and force a complete rebuild on the ReadyNAS devoce?

How do I force a rebuild – the forum guidance is a skosh imprecise. A detailed set of directions would help.

For practice I blew away the Microsoft Media Player database after I reorganized the information. Once Media Player restarted a rebuild started occurring for its database.

Will the same general process occur for the PLEX database?

For the future, are the collections values and tag info part of the PLEX database and will they have to be rebuilt if I loose the database?

Just delete the library and make new one

Thank you for taking the time to help me. Too easy – cannot determine why I missed that except that a forum search lead elsewhere.

Thanks again.
