Rebuild of Windows - Cannot Connect to Plex Server

Beware! The path you type in must not include ‘Plex Media Server’ as last part.
So if now your plex data reside in E:\plex\Plex Media Server\ , you type only
E:\plex\ into the input field.

  1. If the machine died while the server was running, chances are that the primary database file is damaged. Consider going back to a backup: https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/

  2. try re-claiming the server: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
    Make sure browser add-ins, internet filters, VPN software are disabled and the hosts file doesn’t contain any entries which relate to Plex.
