Received Invitation for Plex Cloud

Hello, I received the invitation to the following instructions:

Getting Started with Plex Cloud beta
Find 60 seconds in your busy schedule and sign in to Plex Web
Select Plex Cloud from the Server menu in the upper-left corner
Read our lovely welcome info and click Let’s Do This!
We’ll send you briefly over to Amazon to authenticate your account and link your Amazon Drive
After a few moments of magic being done in the background, click Continue to finish linking your Amazon Drive account
Do the dance of joy! You’re all set and can now begin adding libraries to Plex Cloud by pointing to folders on Amazon Drive, just as you would with your Plex Media Server.

Only one problem: I am unable to understand how to do. kkkkkk anyone help me?

its very easy and it explains in the email how to set it up.
Just log into plex website and click on the switch server button in the top left corner underneath the home button. Choose plex cloud and the rest is self explanatory.

For the dance of joy part “you put your right hand in, you take your right hand out, you put your right hand in and”, I think you know the rest. Happy Plexing!

@Wiidesire ^^ That post is a bit misleading. It should really be:

If you have signed up for Plex Cloud and haven’t received the invite email yet but want to check if were accepted, do the following:

Until you are accepted, you won’t see Plex Cloud listed.

Was too excited to think about an accurate title  Just wanted to share.

Approximately how many % of applicants were accepted in the first “round”?

Thanks for the heads up, Wiidesire  No email yet, but followed the link and I did get invited. Thanks Plex!

I don’t know. i wasn’t involved in that. But I believe there is a set number of slots. No, I don’t know how many that was either.

Thanks for the answer. Will there be a separate subforum for Plex Cloud like it was done for Plex DVR?

There is already one. If you are accepted you should be able to see it under the Beta Builds section. Scroll down a bit on the main page.

Found it, thanks! I assumed it would be in the Plex Pass Member Area like Plex DVR.

Thanks for this, didn’t receive an invite but Plex cloud showing up, activated it and now setting up folders to scan

Actually did get the email, but outlook.com seem to think Plex messages is junk/spam

I got the email and linked my acd but it won’t enumerate my cloud drive folders so it can’t scan and find my files. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it possible to unlink the acd and try again? Any help would be appreciated.

After linking your account, there is some pre-processing that goes on with any files you already have on ACD. Give it a little while and you should be ok later. If you have a lot of files, it may be a long while. Just check again later.

Figured this was what was probably happening. Thanks

great thx.

Sure enough. Guess I have to learn to be patient with the servers in the sky. Kinda strange that it takes so long to populate my video folder when I only have a single video but perhaps that is because I have the video thumbnails enabled.

so pissed… When I registered for the invite, I went too fast (too excited) and didn’t check the amazon cloud as my products which is a requirement… of course, I have it now but I suspect, it may explain why I didn’t get invited…

Nope, I didn’t select Amazon Cloud as well and got accepted.
