Recent added Videos not displaying on home screen?

So i have my home screen set in a very generic way.

recently added movies
recently played movies

recently added tv
recentplay played tv

recently added videos
recently played videos.

Everything is as you would expect, except recently added vidoes is simply not there. On the one hand, I RARELY add new videos. Its usually workout vids for my wife and thats once in a blue moon so I had assumed it was a time-based thing and since nothing was added within whatever arbitrary limit was set, it wasnt present.

however I just added a few hdr demo videos as im troubleshooting some hdr issues on my shieldtv. Low and behold, there they are in my videos library, but no recently added videos category whatsoever.

I double checked the homescreen settings and its set to be there.

Is there some other criteria for this displaying im overlooking?

Edit the library in question.
Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
Is ‘Remove from Dashboard’ activated?

it was not, however it appears toggling the web app from manual to automatic, then back to manual, then editing it allowed it to re-appear.

management of the home screen. it was just hung up. had it set to manual but it wouldnt “take” until i flogged it back between auto and back to manual again then re-made the adjustments.
