Hi - My issues go back several client versions (see previous notes) and are limited to specific devices. I do not believe it is likely that resolving the numerous more recent player issues you reference will also happen to resolve mine.
Beleive me when I say our issues are similar, and one of the Tablets that are failing on WiFi remote is a Galaxy Tab 2, but everything else works on 4G but not WiFi, not sure if itās a Server or Player issue, and I to do hope that after the numerious updates that havenāt fixed this issue for either of us get sorted soonā¦ itās a little bit of a pain, but have you tried the server with secure connection disavled to test? if it works on the external devices, i.e. plays Live TV and recordings then itās definitely a Plex Player issue on Android.

I have been having the same issue. I believe this is something to do with the plex player because the only way i can get anything to play on my android tablet is by enabling the āuse external player optionā which is not ideal (using vlc app). Without using an external player, plex just gives me the error message "An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please try restarting both the Plex Media Server and this appā

@MrPetro Glad yours works with external player, mine doesnāt even want to play via that either, so is it a mixture of both server and Android app? Itās a bit of a strange one also.
