Same experience here with 10.22 simple to sideload via downloader app, so far very impressed though I haven’t completed testing but tentatively seems as though this has fixed the issue that’s been plaguing Plex on shield for over a year.

I would love to know what it is they fixed, just out of a nerdy curiosity. Maybe I wouldn’t understand it but others have speculated about audio sync issues and such.

Continued testing with Dolby Processing On and everything just works fine. Atmos, everything I’ve thrown at it. No dropped frames or out of sync audio Agree with the above two posters. Super easy to install no issues Would love to know the fix

The Dolby Processing was fixed in Firmware 9.2.0, but make problems in 9.1.1. Resolves AV sync issues when Dolby Processing is enabled

Yes. I signed up for the Beta and it has upgraded my Alpha version of 10.22. Hopefully more people will be able to test it out now. Those nerd stats are handy too. The change notes make no mention of anything relating to this frame dropping fix at all!

Finally got around to testing the 10.22 beta out. I’m still seeing an occasional frame drop with AC3 Surround, but they’re not being recognized as such by the Nerd Stats. Looks like 10.21 (no frame drop fix but does include new Nerd Stats option to test for dropped frames) is released. This makes the 10.22 going to Beta ever closer. I don’t know where I can see what Beta releases are available.
