Server Version#: 1.28.2.6151
Player Version#: 4.87.2
Recently added files (a handful of movies and shows) to my library, I’m able see them catalogued in my library and even access them to change the metadata.
However when I got play them, they’re marked as “Unavailable” and when I look for the error, I find “The Plex Media Server can’t find or access the media file for this library item at the expected location.” This is the same error for all the movies and episodes added on this same day. All the other media added previously is accessible without issue.
I’ve tried the following:
Checked the codecs to make sure they’re compatible with Plex
Checked the permissions on all of the files
Made sure the naming conventions are compatible with Plex
Moved the files outside of folders, updated my libraries - then moved the files back
Moved the problem files into their own Library folders and added those to the Plex Server
Deleted the files and reloaded them
Refreshed/Debugged/Emptied Trash and all the other routine maintenance things I could think of, ad nausem
Nothing about my setup has changed since my last additions to the Plex Library. The only couple of things that have been updated were both my Plex Server and Chrome Browser. I’m using the same Windows 10 Laptop with external drives dedicated to this, and I’ve hit on a wall on solutions.
I am seeing (boost::filesystem::status: Access is denied: "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode\Sessions\plex-transcode-ig9khsnmvfiqse52rn4zhn47-a9c85926-65ff-4fb4-85d6-8ac35c2e791b\chunk-stream0-00010.m4s")
and Im seeing ERROR - MDE: video has neither a video stream nor an audio stream Can you play the files on the server outside of plex?
