Server Version#: Version 1.40.0.7998
A few weeks ago I noticed two shows specifically two seasons of the two shows (Season 2 on one, Season 4 on another) are constantly moving back to the top of the list. I have used change attributes to fix a future date on date modified but they still keep moving to top of pile.
- make sure that both your server and your media file server/NAS always have the correct date and time. You might want to check it’s CMOS battery (if it even has something like that).
- perform the Plex dance with the two offending shows
The alternative to 2) is editing the Plex database directly. If you feel up to it and know what SQL is, search this forum for this topic.
Another few ideas:
- if your media files are stored outside the actual Plex server machine (i.e. either on a NAS/network file share or on an external hard drive), disable “Empty trash automatically after every scan” and keep it off.
- whenever you shutdown the media file storage, shut down the Plex server beforehand and only restart it after the media storage is safely online again
@OttoKerner that didnt work. I followed the steps here for each file and this fixed it.
