I did a clean installed of my computer last week and now I have 2 TV folders staying at the start of recently added TV and every time I add new content they are added before these 2 folders, how do I fix this?
What are you referring to with ‘TV folders’?
A TV show?
Take a look at the files on disk for these episodes. Look at the ‘date’ on these files. Is it in the future?
I’ve checked the file properties and it showed up a date of year 2098 under date modified so have change the dates to the same as date created
cheers
You might have to perform the Plex Dance with the affected episodes to clear out the wrong data from the Plex database.
Have done that and everything else is now getting added after.
Is there a way I can just remove others them from recently added list after I have made other changes? like a option to remove from recently added list?
No, there is not. The ‘date added’ is the sole determinator of what appears in this list.
Thank you.
One more thing, it’s been around 3 weeks since I did a clean install and reinstalled Plex, it’s it normal for Plex to run a many scans on the Music folder? I have around 1000 ablums
Please explain that a little more in depth.
Do the library scans take hours?
Or do they happen too often?
Yes, the library scan for the music folder takes hours, every time I open PMS it’s scanning my Music folder, it stops for awhile but starts again.
That usually means a large portion of your music is still ‘unmatched’ and Plex is unable to finish that successfully. So it tries and tries again.
I’ve checked the scan properties in plex for the Music and noticed to have 2 paths to the music library
F:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music
F:\Music
What path would be best to keep and I can delete the other
The Main Music folder using iTunes from your suggestion Always maintain a folder hierarchy of Music > Artist > Album > Songs is what I have done.
Keep the first, AFAIK.
