I know this has been discussed at nauseum, but please make it possible to remove the recommended tab or at least default it to not being the first tab. Make it possible to select the default tab, anything.
I know there is a setting to remember the last tab, but that doesn’t always work and when there are updates it gets reset at times. Causing me to go through all of the plex tv’s and fix it. Infuriating at best.
I already have a Plex Pass, so make it another purchase if your so against doing this. There are thousands of request’s to have this done, why not listen to your users and what we want.
Go to settings for whichever app you are using and there is an option for “Remember selected tab” which will make the last tab you were on the tab that you are on when you go back later on.
Yes and I mentioned that in my post. But thanks for the thought.
The issue is it defaults to recommended on every install and if the server is updated or what ever, but it doesn’t always stay or go to that last tab. People don’t know they MUST tab over to library to actually see what’s there. Also the recommended tab also states nothing in library so that adds to the confusion.
I was resistant to the recommended tab at first, as I just wanted to see my own content. But after a while I learned to love it when I turned off almost all items and left on the “Recently Added” which massively helps for me to quickly find items I just got. I then enabled a tab or two that pretty much lists random movies, for when I feel like looking at my collection for something and I don’t want to just browse by title.
That being said, I see no reason why we cannot elect to simply disable the recommended tab on a server basis, forcing all clients to load up the Library pane automatically.
