Reconnecting plex on samsung tv to nas

I have just had to have my mother board on my 2020 samsung smart tv replaced.
I had previously had Plex connected to my QNAP NAS via wifi and it ran without any problems.
I reloaded the Plex app on the tv and tried to reconnect my NAS.
The NAS is connected to the same wifi as my tv and shows up as connected to the TV.
In Plex settings, I went to Manual Servers and entered my NAS address against Connections 1 IP. I then exited settings and went to More in Plex.
I get the notification “190.160.0.3:24000 is currently unavailable.”
Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong please?

If that is the actual IP address of your server, then it probably won’t work. This IP is not in a “private range”.

Also, I think the ability to define a server IP manually was only present in the super old Orca app for older Samsung models. This one is unfortunately no longer usable without big changes to both your home network and your Plex account.
If your tv ran this old app, it strongly suggests that the actual TV model was not from 2020 but from before 2017.

Thanks for your reply.
The IP address I gave was made up. My actual IP address is “real” as I had been using it for years. I had no trouble using my address with Plex before the new motherboard on m tv.
The tv was purchased new in 2021.

It doesn’t really matter when it was purchased. The question is when this model was introduced by Samsung.
What is the model number/code?

TV model is QA55Q75RAWXXY running v1410 of the Tizen operating system.

That’s indeed a newer model.

Have you tried to simply connect the Plex app on the TV with your plex account?
Normally, you shouldn’t need to fill in the “manual server IP”.

Can you access your Plex server with other Plex client types?

Thanks for your help Otto. The problem was that I could not login to plex.tv/link with an old password. once the password was updated, I could sign in and now plex connects as it should.
