Last weekend my Samsung TV UE40ES6100 stopped to recognize my server. I deleted the app and start a fresh instalation but also removed it from my account has a recognized device. Despite all of this it still freezes in the “enter code” menu and I can’t reconnect it again.
How can I fix it?
If I manually connect it to my server forces me not to use a user and password.
Nice task for the Plex marketing employee to correct the website content. This Plex page refers to this Samsung page for a detailed definition of Tizen models. My TV is listed on that Samsung page.
To be clear, v2.013 is an app developed by a 3rd party. Plex did officially support it, but not anymore. These TV do run Tizen but an older version. Samsung TVs with a newer Tizen version will run Plex’s v3.x app. Plex recently released a new v5.x app to replace v3. If you are running one of these, then your TV is still supported and should not have been affected. So if you ar ehaving trouble, please double check what version Plex app you are running first.
I totally get that. However, no support hasn’t equalled doesn’t work until just recently. While you and I get what no support means, most other people don’t understand that. It could help save you from the scores of posts and emails that are showing up and will continue to do so for a good while longer.
Thank you for the solution. I was not able to get my new Samsung TV to work, which is located in our vacation home. Can you post a screen shot where in the TV App you enter the server IP address? Thanks.
I have the same Problem, on my Samsung from 2015 ueH6400 the plex app 2.013 is working on my ueES8090 it can’t connect. Only via IP. The Problem is that without Account Connect, my Plex Lifetime Pass dosen’t work on my ES8090 that means i have no Trailers etc. Why does the same App works on one TV, but on the other it doesen’t? Could u please resupport the old tizen App?
