I think this issue is not with the EPG data but with the series/subscription mechanism in Plex DVR.
I have a recording setup in College Football to record ‘All Florida Gators Events’:
However, this ‘subscription’ also marks Florida Gators events in other sports to be recorded:
This is under the ‘Women’s College Soccer’ Show listing in the EPG - which is the correct ‘show’
This behavior of also recording other sports that include Florida Gators teams I actually find pretty neat and don’t mind. However, the problem is that the recordings seem to have their show overridden from the EPG data to all appear under the ‘College Football’ show once they are recorded - this is 3 episodes under ‘College Football’ in my DVR library - 2 actual college football games and a Soccer game that was recorded into the football show instead of the correct soccer show:
I have checked all of the settings I could, but this seems to be an issue with how Plex treats subscription episodes and appears to override the show name when it really should not.
I have not tried verifying the reverse behavior - that is, setup a Women’s College Soccer subscription for a given team and see if a College Football game with that team gets forced into the Soccer show.
