Anyone having this issue with plex server Version 1.10.0.4523?
At first I thought it was the comskip baked in option as I was testing it out. Then I reverted back to my own PlexComskip post processing skip it is still happening.
This has only become a thing since I upgraded to the latest server that has comskip baked in, the previous version before this addition was not ending my recordings between 12 - 17 minutes.
I only get a handful of channels and mostly just record new broadcasts that are 1 hour in length and used to crop out at about 35 to 40 minutes after commercial scrubbing.
I am having this issue on 2 different servers, my primary plex server and my backup one that I normally use for the DVR recordings.
After moving the DVR to my main server this morning I only have 1 show record ending early which had a 12pm PST start time. I will attach my server logs
Another log dump with another 5 - 6 recordings on it. All but one cropped early in the 12 - 17 minute range. Strangely enough 1 broadcast made it 30ish minutes haven’t verified if it is a complete recording or if it got cropped early yet. I haven’t had much time to sit and watch the broadcasts to look for the errors.
I had two DVR recordings last night that should have been 5 hours each. Checked this morning and one recording was only 10 minutes long, while the other was 26 minutes long. However, a three hour DVR recording early this morning made it the entire three hours it was programmed for.
Haven’t seen any of my DVR recordings cut short until upgrading to 1.10.0.4523 a couple days ago…
Im rolling back plex and using my own comskip.ini until another version proves better.
Hey guys to to finish up this thread with my last update.
The downgrade did not work the recording anomaly where every recording ended early between 12- 17 minutes still persisted throuh downgrade.
The problem was caused by an ip conflict on my network, I had 2 reservations giving handing out the same ip to the hdhomerun and my doorbell camera. After correcting this the next 2 recordings have returned to normal and are ending at the appropriate time.
