Recording not working

What is going on with recording all of the sudden?

I have 2 recordings set for local news. They record once and never again. They both say no upcoming recordings but when I look at the show in the guide the red recording icon is clearly on it.

I mean there is literally a recording mark on it and its not recording at all!

I’m having exactly the same issue with a local news bulletin as well.
I have deleted my DVR and re-configured it with the latest EPG. The overall guide shows that scheduled recording has been set but the DVR schedule doesn’t list the recording. I have selected the new & old airings and have ensured that no other settings such as HD Only etc have been selected. Lasted update: PlexMediaServer-1.32.0.6918-6f393eda1-x86_64_DSM6.spk. has been installed successfully.
Any assistance would be appreciated

I’m also having this issue in Australia with SBS’ Cycling coverage. I think Plex sees one episode and doesn’t distinguish that the next episode is not the same one, so it won’t record again. If you remove the previous episode from the folder, it will work next time (and then will stop working unless you remove THAT episode).

It is seriously annoying. Was working fine for me in March, and started playing up 2nd April (it may have stopped working since 26th March, as that was the last coverage I got).

I’m currently on 1.32.0.6918, was previously on 1.31.3.6868 which was also broken. I’m not sure if it broke when that version came out (I’m not sure when I updated to 1.31.3.6868, nor from which version).

Any ideas how this can be fixed, Plex?

Me too. If you go to DVR Schedule it’s missing from there.
I deleted the recording and still the same problem.

What’s strange is if you start a new recording for a different news channel everything records okay.

Thanks for the tip. That did work! Just not sure how many other programs are effected, cheers.

A fix for this was just implemented today. Just need to refresh your EPG and should be good to go.

It’s just Program Guide that needs to be refreshed. Go to Settings>Live TV & DVR> Refresh Guide
