When I record Jeopardy, it only records the last 7 minutes of the program. I have it set to only record at 7:00 PM ET on Channel 7 (WABC-NY). I even tried recording it on a different channel, Channel 8 (WTNH) and the same thing happens. I tried setting different recording settings of various flags, no change. I even removed the DVR and guide all together, added back in, re-downloaded a new guide - no change.
I would provide logs, but downloading them from the Troubleshooting page only provides logs for same day. Can someone tell me how to download logs from previous day?
There are by default 5 older logs for each log. They are named the same, with an attached number at the very end.
On a highly-used server, that sometimes doesn’t reach back far enough.
In which case you can extend the number of retained log files in the hidden settings (but don’t overdo it!) https://support.plex.tv/articles/201105343-advanced-hidden-server-settings/LogNumFiles
Do you perhaps use other software than Plex, which scans the same media folders?
Do you use a RAM drive for the transcoder temp folder?
Does your EPG show only one item for the Jeopardy show, or are there several, with News or other short programmes sprinkled inbetween?
• There is other software running, but none that actively scans the folder in which the file is saved.
• The transcode temp directory is blank (default). However, I save the DVR’d programs to ~/Documents/Plex DVR rather than /Media/TV Shows because /Media/TV Shows is mounted using NFS (until Apple can fix the SMB issues) and because it’s NFS, there is an error when trying to save DVR shows to /Media/TV Shows. Saving it “local” fixed that issue. And yes, I added the additional folder to TV Shows media source.
• The EPG shows Jeopardy at its scheduled time (which is the same, 7:00 PM ET) on each of the channels (7-WABC and 8-WTNH). I tried recording each one on each channel with the same result.
As far as the logs, I will wait for tomorrow when it records the next episode and grab the logs right afterwards.
