Recording Priority Not Honored when other apps use tuners

I’m not entirely sure how how the scheduling works but it appears it doesn’t take into account other apps using tuners. Hopefully the 6 tuner prime will be enough when it finally gets released. Anyway this is what happened:

  • At 9:56 I had Most Expensivest, The Purge, and Mayans M.C. set to record; they showed in that order in the calendar view

  • Recording priority is The Purge, Mayans M.C. and Most Expensivest

  • It looks like Plex was expecting to have use of all 3 tuners and when it got to Mayans M.C., that recording failed because someone was watching tv with live channels app

I would think that the shows would start recording in the order of priority but that does not seem to be the case. Looks like that only comes into play when you have more scheduled recordings than total tuners, not available tuners.
