Recordings being abruptly interrupted before the show end

I am a Plex Pass user and recently I started to experience a weird issue where my recordings stopped recording the whole show. Like, I have schedule shows to record for a full hour and they stop recording after 8, 40, 20 minutes and etc… So that’s for different channels and different days. I have a HDHomerun Connect connected to a digital antenna and am running PMS on a very powerful Macbook Pro with 8 cores and 16 gigs of ram which is dedicated only to that and I still hear the fan hitting very high levels while recording so something is definitely not right there.

I’m having another issues as well, like problems with the Channel Guide and other minor stuff but I want to focus on having this recording issue addressed first. I’m a new Plex user and am inclined to purchase the perpetual plex pass license but must admit that I struggled so much with it since the beginning, that even though I spent so much time with it, that I’ll give up if at least the core of this issue wasn’t found.

I am curious,. How do you fix the issue to record the next shows if anything has to be done? Do you have to do related to network connection to your HD Home Run by rebooting or disabling/reenabling your network card or does the next programs scheduled to record start to record ok?

The next scheduled programs start to record properly, but they intermittently stop recording before the end.

So I have many programs with a significantly shorter length (like 8, 10, 12 minutes) than the original scheduled recording length (30 minutes and 1 hour) for example.

For example: I set up to record Deception on Abc for one hour long, and only recorded for 41 minutes. Set up to record Origins on Pbs for 30 minutes and recorded only for 8 minutes…

OK I thought maybe the next recordings would not record without having to reboot or something like resettting your network card by disabling/reenabling which is an issue I am seeing with programs not completing their recording usually when I am surfing the web on the same server when plex is recording a few programs on my 3 tuner HD HomeRun. That is a problem that has come and gone and for me has come again recently.

I think in my case the problem is something related with the filesystem.

I am recording to an external WD easystore 8tb ext4 formatted which uses
extfs for Mac from Paragon to mount it on OSX.
