I have setup a plex server some years ago and connected it to my google account, back then with a @googlemail.com address.
Through the years it went very well, but then google migrated me to a @gmail.com address.
With the devices that have been logged in before the change i can still login, but due to the change in the email address i am unable to login for example via web.
Am i doing something wrong? Is there an easy way to change the connected google account?
You should still be able to log into your Plex account using the “googlemail.com” email. You can then change the email address top match your current one.
do i need to delete the “new” account with the gmail-Address first?
The same username and email cannot be reused for 30 days after deleting an account. So sign into the new account first and change the email to something else to free it up.
