I just changed the email associated with my google account. I use my google account to log in to plex. After the change my local server is gone from the web interface.
Luckily I also set a password for my email account and so I was able to login with my old email and new email to my local server.
If I login with the old email my local server with all settings is there
If I login with my new email or with the linked google account the Server is gone.
How can I move my local server or at least the settings so that it is visible if I login with my new email.
I did not change the server or anything else I just did a Logout and after that Login with google account.
->If you change the email of your google account and use that account to log in a completely new plex account will be created and you will be logged in there.
It was a piece of cake to sort things out, with the help of the plex support team.
The reason why I needed the support team was to the fact I did purcase a lifetime plex pass on that new (wrong) account.
So the correct way of changing the email of plex if you are using your google account to log in will be
set password for the plex account. (if the account was created with google account the google email used is your login email). That way you can still log in to your account if something goes wrong. Especially if the old email do not exist anymore like in my case.
IMPORTANT!! Unlink google account from plex account
change google email
(optional) Change email of plex account (it does not hurt to have a dedicated plex email)
relink you google account with your plex account.
If you now log in with google account you will be signed in on the right account.
