I recently reformatted my PC and accidentally deleted the old server from my plex account.
Does that mean all the synced media that I have synced and customized will be gone and I will have to start from scratch everytime I reformat the PC where the server was installed?
If you format the hard drive of the server, you lose all Plex data.

If you move the Plex data folder to a different drive or partition, it is easier to simply reformat your system data volume in the future.

Oh my… I have to start again from scratch! :’( I should have read it before I reformatted my windows drive. I thought all our settings, and library folder are stored in our online accounts.
Use the opportunity to employ Filebot and let it loose on your files.
It will bring your files’ names and folder organization into shape, so matching will be mostly error-free and requires only minimal manual correction.

It is time to recognise the importance of backup, why did you need to format?
