Refresh Metadata (Music) not always getting correct data

I fully admit that I’m new and perhaps the error is with me. :slight_smile:

I have ~250 albums I copied over. Some of them have 2 discs. I verified through Mp3tag that the “Album” is the same or both folders (ie: no longer has “XXX Disk 1” and “XXX Disk 2” - now just “XXX”). The discnumber is also correct (“1/2” and “2/2” as appropriate).

One of the disks doesn’t appear to be refreshing even when I choose “Refresh Metadata” for the album. The cover art doesn’t get updated and the Album title still shows “XXX Disk 2”.

I do have “prefer local metadata” checked BTW.

Thoughts?

I had a few other glitches here and there so after a while I deleted my Music library and re-created it (I’m using MP3 tags as my source of truth). It’s all looking MUCH better now.

It seems to me as though a best practice might be to fiddle around forever getting your tags just right and then rebuilding the library from scratch.
