The recent client update on Xbox One removed an essential feature from the UI: the ability to see the _episode number _when browsing a TV show season. In the new client, episodes are presented in a numbered list, but the numbers mean nothing: it’s just an ordinal count of the episodes, without regard to their place in the episode list.
The only metadata displayed for each episode is title, not the season/episode number as before. If you have missing episodes from a season, the numbered list becomes extremely confusing, because it seems to suggest that you have all TV episodes in order, when you do not.
Currently, the only way to see the actual episode number is to drill down to the detail level for each video, which can become quite tedious.
I rely on Plex to organize collections of recorded TV and movies, and the Xbox One is our preferred playback client. The current behavior is definitely a regression in the experience. Please return the ability to see the episode numbers when browsing the TV library. Thank you!
