Regularly being asked for Preferred Server even with settings sync enabled

Server Version#: 1.25.9.5721
Player Version#: 1.43.4.2971-aa2133cc

Getting a little frustrated with the Plex for Windows player regularly asking me for my preferred server and then not having all of my pinned sources nor having my preferred order (Android device did this to me as well, but only once as far as I can remember). I’ve tried turning off settings sync and then back on but this keeps persisting. It seems to correlate with an application update, but not entirely sure since the update happens right after I set my customizations back up again and then restart Plex.

I’m not even sure the settings sync feature actually works? I’ve gone on a different Windows device after setting up my pins and order again and it too is asking for a preferred server and all of my pinned sources and ordering are also not there after selecting a server.

Edit: settings sync took a bit, but after restarting Plex one more time, the settings matched. Still why am I being asked to do this regularly?

Happened again today…now I have to go through the whole process yet again. I see someone else reported the same problem some days ago: I have to “Customize your Media” every time I start the Windows 10 app - Plex Players / Desktop Players - Plex Forum

Did you find an answer to this? I am having the same issue. After the server question, it asks “Customize your Media?”, so it resets the left navigation column and my whole screen every time.

So far it hasn’t happened again over the last several updates so maybe it’s fixed?

Ok. I’ll wait and see. Ty

No this is still not working correctly. While I’m not being asked for my preferred server my pinned libraries are going missing with only the pinned libraries from my preferred server being preserved.

Still seeing this last behavior with the latest version (1.38.0.2734-ec4489fe). App just updated again. Maybe this is “the one”?
