<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
I have 3 Plex servers, both on NAS units and my Mac. They are accessed individually - i.e., if I am using the QNAP server I want the pinned libraries to show just the QNAP libraries at that IP address, not the ones on the other devices.
The “Turn on Settings Sync” setting which I have turned “off” keeps getting turned back on which wipes out the pinned libraries for that server. I have to turn settings sync off, remove the libraries, and pin the libraries again for that server at that IP address.
Think this is happening when I update the server but can’t confirm.
This is very likely caused by the cookies being deleted in your web browser.
Tell your web browser to preserve the cookies which are related to the domain plex.tv, as well as to the local IP addresses of your server devices.
If you use 3rd-party “cleanup” apps or anti virus software, investigate if they provide cookie cleanup. If they do, create the necessary exceptions in their settings as well.
This is only possible if you don’t log into a Plex user account. Which in turn makes it very difficult to use the more advanced Plex features.
If this kind of separation is only required for watching, but not for administrating, you could instead create different managed user accounts.
Each user can have individually pinned media sources.
Switching servers would then be as simple as picking “Switch User” from the top-right icon.
