New max seems to be 1046,

New max seems to be 1046,

edit the series and choose the channel picture as poster
Any issue remaining?
oh i was referring to the count of episodes,
theres 1865 files but its maxing out at 1046. rebooted and scanned again, same count.
Please update to latest scanner and agent. Limit raised to 2500 items once i figured out the safety 20 json file limit with 50 items per paged caused this…
Looks like videos aren’t matching correctly.

which has the info:
Tried going back to movie the way i had it before and:

this happens: https://streamable.com/w552b
Files are just in the folder

that’s movies libraries.I suppose series libraries now work?
Can you please post the url of the file in text mode, I really do not want to enter the id letter per letter to be able to reproduce… I will then recreate this naming and solve the issue if i can reproduce which i could so far…
The thumbnail mismatch is in series.
The thumbnail is 20180928 - COD DAMN IT! - Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta Gameplay - [XtPGEJlV7Ps].mp4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtPGEJlV7Ps
The file listed under Get Info is 20180927 - BOWSETTE TOO SEXY - Dude Soup Podcast #193 - [GtRCcP1o76A].mp4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtRCcP1o76A
All the images afterwards and the video link is Movie.
Had to rewrite the movie part, was really broken, work on my test now
Please update to latest agent and report.
So far so good on the movie part, ill watch a few and see if they match.
Excellent. Thanks for your feedback so far, it helped making the agent better for everybody.
Hey champ,
So far everything has worked perfectly.
I do have a feature request.
Can we get a setting to pick what icon to pick for playlists? Current setting looks awesome if you have one library with many different youtube channels but looks a bit odd if you only have one. The previous setting was just the first episode which was perfect in this case.
can we get a menu option in the library setting for this?
Thanks to everyone for their work on this agent - especially @ZeroQI
I’ve had a lot of fun getting youtube-dl & this agent working together (no, really - was an evening well spent
)
By and large, it’s all working - but can’t quite get the structure how I want it - would you mind confirming if what I’m trying to do is possible or not? I’ve read through much of the above, and others seem to have achieved it, but could be I’m missing something. (Latest versions of the agent and scanner are installed)
\media\Channel [channel_id]\PLaylist Name [PLxxx]\Video Name - (Date) - [res] - [ID].[ext]
eg, from this channel… Tom Scott - YouTube
\media\Tom Scott [enyay]\Things You Might Not Know [PL96C35uN7xGI9HGKHsArwxiOejecVyNem]\A Language Made Of Music (20180115) - [1920x1080] [oyC4lLTOyL8].mkv
The files all get scanned in, but a get a separate ‘show’ for each Playlist, rather than a single show (Tom Scott) and a series for each Playlist
i think you meant “…and a season for each Playlist”
“[enyay]” is not a channel id as they have the format [UCxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Do you have a collection “Tom Scott” that was set automatically?
If so, configure the library settings to show collections and not show items in collections
Thanks ZeroQI -
Within Plex, is there a differentiation between series & season ? (Or is is just a language usage difference - in the UK we tend to refer to Series 1, Series 2 etc of a show)
I was getting confused about usernames - as sometimes I was getting UCxxx, othertimes an ‘anglican’ name - but think I’ve figured that out - it was when switching to a channels playlist URL, it would change back to their normal username, but I can manually change the URL to UCxxx.
Although, even then, youtube-dl will still take ‘enyay’ as the uploader_id, and have to manually change it in the folder created
So my folder structure now is
\Tom Scott [UCBa659QWEk1AI4Tg--mrJ2A]\
\Things You Might Not Know [PL96C35uN7xGI9HGKHsArwxiOejecVyNem]\A Language Made Of Music (20180115) - [1920x1080] [oyC4lLTOyL8].mkv
\Amazing Places [PL96C35uN7xGK_y459BdHCtGeftqs5_nff]\700 Flavours of Soda Pop - Galco's in Los Angeles (20151127) - [1280x720] [bUknYGEbLsg].mkv
Where \Tom Scott ... \ is sat in the root of the library
But no, I’m not getting any collections created. Even tried removing the library from Plex and reloading it. I just see a separate show for each playlist, and then 1 season with all the videos in it.
–
If I instead have all videos for a channel in a single root folder, It does then scan it as a single show, and creates a season for each year
eg
Half as Interesting [UCuCkxoKLYO_EQ2GeFtbM_bw]\Australia's 3,488 Mile Long Fence (20180104) - [1920x1080] [qKX9Oq8UvBI].mkv
This approach works ok where there aren’t so many videos in a channel, or where their playlists aren’t well curated.
Edit:
MInd you, it’s occurred to me that not all videos will be in a playlist, so using youtube-dl against the playlist page might not be the best approach after all.
Display order
Library settings
My agent assigns:
So in short, you want a single COLLECTION “Tom Scott” (you called that both season and series, please use Plex terminology) containing series (with playlist id or channel id if you want years as folder).
Are you using the absolute series scanner ?
You have no collection field in series (your playlists) in plex, please re-confirm that.
Where are the logs? the read-me include troubleshooting section and specifically tells which logs and where to gather them
Uploaded new version with setting selection for Movies/series poster source: Episode or Channel
Will probably not change previously wrongly chosen poster
No feedback so closed https://github.com/ZeroQI/YouTube-Agent.bundle/issues/20 . Feedback about the icon selection welecome, as would be donations.
Is it possible when you sort by “TV Shows” for it to group all of a single Channel into one? So the end result when sorting by TV Shows is you see a list of youtube Channels, when you select one you see the list of playlist associated with that channel as the seasons and then the episodes.
Maybe this is possible and I just haven’t found the right way to name the files. Every way I’ve tried always shows each playlist as a separate item when sorting by TV Shows.
/Channel [UCxxxxxxxxx]/Playlist [PLxxxxxxx]/video [xxxxxxx].ext should create Playlist as Series and Channel as Collection and you can use [youtube2-xxxxx] mode for playlist to use year as season.
Do select to not display items in collections in library settings nor seasons if unique
Hi ZeroQI, thanks for making this.
I gotta say with all the updates and forks here, I’m a bit confused with how to get started.
I’ve got a bunch of videos I’ve downloaded from Youtube (with their exact original name) but without the video id number, or the playlist number, or the channel number.
I don’t mind redownloading all my stuff, but what would be the correct folder structure and file naming convention to go for?
Do you or anyone here have an example of a youtube-dl script that would download things in the correct format? It’d be really helpful to just put the channel/playlists that I want and get them in the right output.
Thanks!
