[RELEASE] OpenPHT 1.5.2

There are no plans at the moment for the Rasplex Team to produce a Linux version, Linux versions of PHT were previously provided by other members of the community, someone has already done a version for Steam so maybe someone will get around to a Linux version, sorry.

Regards

@oyvove

Have a look at this https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1094218#Comment_1094218 there appears to be a version someone has done for ArchLinux.

OK, thanks for replying. Do you know if Plex Media Player (PMP) still exists and is available in a linux version that can be run under HD Station?

PMP still exists, but as you are not a PlexPass holder you don’t have access to it.

Oh… :((
That’s too bad. But if I was a PlexPass holder (I still may decide to become one), could PMP replace PHT under HD Station (Does it exist in a QPKG package) ?

What features are planned / in the pipeline for new releases? Can’t get much of an idea other than bug-fixes from the Github.

That will be in the release notes for each release version :))

Seriously, most of the work at the moment is fixing long standing bugs/issues and updating most of the code to Isengard/Jarvis, this will bring some enhanced/new features but not willing to say what at this time.

are there any pi2 images for this?

Would I use this version:
https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenPHT/releases/download/v1.5.2.514-310d4f7e/OpenPHT-1.5.2.514-310d4f7e-windows-x86.exe
for Win7-64 bit?

Can I have installed at the same time as I have PHT installed?

Yes and Yes.

I’ve been using the old PHT thinking it was the new OpenPHT. I purchased the MS version not long ago from the Store but I wasn’t getting much out of it. Yesterday I got the old PHT which I now found was abandoned. OpenPHT is awesome. Thank you!

Other note: When I press on “” to go to small window, the app exit instead. Old PHT behaved the same as well.

Now! It’s safe to delete the old PHT now

I’m trying to download OpenPHT OpenPHT-1.5.2.514-310d4f7e-windows-x86.exe

Windows 10 reports the signature is corrupt or invalid. Is the current version of OpenPHT safe to install?
