Remote access being disabled after retrying from an insecure device/connection

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4707
Player Version#:

There seems to be an issue where, if you log into/open Plex on an insecure connection/device and via app.plex.tv attempt to press “Retry” on “Remote Access” page, then the remote access on the server disables itself, instead of just fails to retry the connection.

Prerequisite: have a server setup with remote access
Steps:

  1. On a device, that is not connected to your local network and has an insecure connection to your server, log into app.plex.tv and go over Remote Access.

  2. Press, the “Retry” button and wait until under your server name on the left it says “Unable to connect to <server_name> securely”

  3. On a device that is locally connected with the server, go to app.plex.tv and under “Remote Access” notice that the Remote Access has been disabled.

Your step 1 should not be possible. You cannot use app.plex.tv to connect to your server with an insecure connection. Can you explain how you are accomplishing this?
