Hi. I was using Remote Access on Friday and Saturday to play music, and it was working great. All of a sudden yesterday Remote Access is not enabled. I did not make any changes in the setup at all. I manually specify port 32400. Any ideas? I think I’ve attached my logs. I tried removing the port forward from my router but that did not make a change, so I have set that back up as it was before. Thanks

Looks like the security setting on your server is turned off. This shouldn’t affect remote access. If your Android client is set to not allow using an insecure connection, then it won’t connect at all if that is the issue you are seeing.
Hi. I turned the Secure Connections off and the remote access works. When I turn the secure connections onto Preferred, then Remote Access disables and will not work. Do you think it is a certificate issue? I tried it several times this morning and each time secure connections are on Preferred the Remote Access disables, but as soon as I disable secure connections Remote Access enables and works.
Users have reported issues with the MyCloud device, but I’m unable to reproduce.
I’ve gone ahead and removed the certificate from our end. Please restart PMS and then enable the security setting and see if that helps.
Hi - That did not seem to change anything. I logged out of Plex, logged back in and changed secure connection to Preferred. Remote Access immediately turned off and went red.
As soon as I changed the connected to disabled Remote Access came back up green.
Unless I am missing a step to restart PMS.
Can you get me the server logs?
Sure! Thanks!

Not seeing what I was looking for. Can you restart the MyCloud device, then grab new logs once it’s up and running.
Try this. I logged out, restarted MyCloud and logged back in.

Is the security enabled? I’m not seeing the request to try getting the certificate, which only happens if the setting is enabled.
Hi. I enabled security, logged out and back in. So Remote Access is showing red, unavailable

.
Are you hitting save after enabling the security setting?
And when you say logged out and back in, are you referring to Plex Web or your server. If it’s Plex Web, that won’t make any difference.
I am hitting save after I change. I am referring to Plex Web. Should I be signing out somewhere else? Sorry.
Since the plex server is on mycloud home device, should I sign out and back in there?
Can you try toggling back and firth a few times? I’m not seeing the change in the log. And when it restarts, it’s as if the setting is off so it’s not trying to get the security certificate from Plex.
There isn’t really a need to sign out of anything if you are restarting the device. You can try not restarting the MyCloud and sign out/in on the server instead.
Keep in mind that if you sign out, you will need to access the local Plex Web on your MyCloud using it’s IP address to be able to claim it again.
Try this one. I tried switching secure connection back and forth and enabling/disabling remote access.

Hi - Just wanted to see if the latest logs I uploaded were of any help.
We are still investigating. Your PMS for some reason is not grabbing the new certificate. It’s looking for an old one that obviously doesn’t exist. We’re not sure why.
Thanks! I’ll wait to hear from you. Thanks for looking into this.
