How do I fix remote access buffering issue? My remote user is experiencing buffering and weak audio when watching 720p and 1080p movies.
My setup:
-PMS 1.26.1.5798 running on Mac Mini M1 16GB
-Movie library on external USB-C HDD drive
-50Mbps download / 20Mbps upload
-Manually specified port forward 32400
-Fully accessible outside my network
-Relay disabled
-Direct play in my home network works fine (no buffering)
-Remote access using Plex Media Player for IOS on my iPhone on 4G works fine (no buffering)
Remote user setup:
-Fiber 200Mbps download / 120Mbps upload
-Overseas in another country
-Plex Media Player 1.44 for Windows
-Tried different video quality: 2Mbps 720p, 4Mbps 720p, 8Mbps 1080p, 10Mbps 1080p
-Watchable but constantly buffering (stops and buffers 3+ times when watching 720p movie, stops and buffers 6+ times when watching 1080p movie)
-Low sound (volume on max)
What else can I try?
