So what’s been happening for around 6 months, is I login to the Plex Web via https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!
My libraries are disconnected, and remote access is unavailable. Then 15 to 30 seconds later, the page refreshes and it all reconnects. I have 1 mate that said he had trouble accessing my Plex server. I have not changed my hardware or setup for around 2.5 years, oh…. sorry… except my original computer running Plex server died, that was an old ASUS mini PC running Windows 10 x64, so I threw the HDD from that into another desktop I had, with a GPU, and upgraded to Windows 11 25H2 x64, but the issue followed it. It wasn’t the original computer used for the Plex server causing the issue as I now have a new system, but have had the same NAS, router and network setup for around 2.5 years, and have had Plex for around 7 years without an issue, with different routers, but my current setup has not changed in around 2.5 years. This issue started around 6 months ago (could have been around 2 Plex server updates ago)
I have tried the following:
Turn remote access off and back on again. (as per support suggested)
Turned off my QNAP TS-431P NAS HDD sleep
Updates NAS firmware and apps, firmware is QTS 5.2.8.3359 (I always keep it updated)
Opened port on my router for remote access.
Updated Plex server to latest version.
Run all Windows 11 updates (25H2)
Turned off let my computer allow the network card to go to sleep.
Locally my access is not effected which is strange, because remote access and disconnecting my libraries are the issue. But I assume that disconnection is for remote access only, not local.
I’m confused, tried all I can think of, and this only started happening about 6 months ago, and I have been using Plex server for over 7 years without this ever being a problem before.
I noticed yesterday I copied a new TV episode across to NAS and then realized it did not get picked up by Plex, as I have the app on my phone and it notifies me of a new episode available. That is always automatic. I opened the Plex web app, found it was disconnected, then it reconnected after a short time, then the episode was processed and I was notified. First time I have seen this happen.
Happy to screen record the problem on my phone and send it through if needed.
If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear them. Thanks in advance
