Remote access does not work - how to set up Relay?

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3766

I have been trying to get Remote Access to work for over five years.

I’ve had very helpful advice from forum members and have set up port forwarding. This has allowed the remote access to function for a short space of time (usually a few minutes) but it always ceases.

As I spend months away from home each year, Plex should be of great use but is useless as I cannot access any media.

I have read about Relay but the web pages don’t actually state how to set it up they only link back to setting up Remote Access, and cannot find advice on the forum regarding Relay.

I’d be very grateful if someone could direct me to how to set up Relay and I’ll try that.

In the network settings of the server it is just a check box, (which I thought was enabled by default.) it kicks in if remote access is enabled but not working. To be clear if you have serious networking issues relay may not work either.

That menu option is unavailable as there is no network connection to the server, which I cannot access until Feb.

If there is nothing I can do remotely (?), I will wait till then and try again.
